HB 2435 – Dude Ranches in Eastern Oregon : Twenty years ago, OPOA led the charge to allow ranchers in eastern Oregon to establish guest ranches, allowing people to experience life on a working ranch. The original bill contained a sunset clause, which OPOA has convinced the legislature to extend. Finally, after two decades and a number of successful guest ranches have been established, OPOA was able to convince the legislature to repeal the sunset, making the guest ranch law a permanent part of Oregon statutes.
