Defending Private Property Rights for 35 Years

Our Cause

The mission of the OPOA Legal Center is to help property owners navigate Oregon’s regulatory system so that they may realize their dreams and investment in their land. We help all private property owners – from the eastern Oregon rancher with thousands of acres, to the husband and wife with a single-family home in Portland. We may be working with a sophisticated developer on a large project in the morning, and a family trying to build a rural home in the afternoon.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, when we choose to represent a property owner, we do so without charge. We’re not a private law firm or government relations outfit. We’re a non-profit staffed by lawyers dedicated to helping as many Oregon property owners as we can – at the legislature, in the courts, or through the media. We’re passionate about what we do and we’re here to help.

We’re funded by charitable contributions from Oregonians who believe that every property owner deserves a skilled advocate in their corner. Proceeds from this event will give hope to those who otherwise couldn’t afford to protect their private property from our broken system.
