Thank You All For a Great 2024 – Welcome To 2025!
This is my first blog post of 2025 – let’s start on a hopeful note and a look at a bright future.
If you regularly read our blog, you’ve probably noted that our articles can be pretty biting. Our blog posts have been described as “dark” and “snarky,” but also as “honest” and “refreshing”. We’re happy to acknowledge that all these descriptions are apt, and we’ll proudly wear each badge.
Sam and I aren’t going to try and hide the truth, and we’re not going to sugarcoat what is happening. If the legislature, a local government or a state agency is proposing a bad idea for Oregon property owners, we’re going to talk about it, in the hope that (1) we can prevent it from happening, and (2) you know about it in time to make plans before the rules change.
Our job is to be the canary in the coal mine – hopefully without the ill effects suffered by the canary when things went bad!
We’ll be honest (sometimes brutally so), direct, and try to communicate to all of you in ways that make sense and are understandable, which regulatory policy often is not. If we can add in a little humor, that’s cathartic for Sam and I, and hopefully adds a little to our writing.
If you prefer video instead of articles, we also have a YouTube channel – check it out if you have time! We also are considering taking our rants to YouTube and a podcast.
Sam and I are constantly amazed and thrilled about the power of our blog. We get frequent calls and emails from Oregonians who’ve seen one of our blog posts and are following up with their own situation. It shows the power of social media, and if our blog posts enable someone to connect directly with us and receive help, we’re thrilled.
While both of us love writing for the blog, it really is a very small part of our work. The bulk of our daily work is directly working for so many of you who contact us by phone or email (preferred). Sam and I have had some big wins this year and are confident there will be many more to come this year.
For now, we’re simply thankful for being able to represent those of you that need our help. It’s an absolute honor for Sam and I to work for all of you. Every day we’re reminded that there’s so much good in America, the greatest country in the world. As the new year arrives, we’re working on some exciting expansion plans. We’re growing to meet demand and to expand our ability to help as many people as possible.
Thank you all for your support, for reading our blog, watching our YouTube channel, and reaching out when you need help. We’re looking forward to a great 2025! If you need anything, let us know.
